Well I have a .243 that I have had for 37 years killed many many deer with it..but it is not allowed ..27 caliber or larger ...so I figure I could take my dad's .270 or my brothers 30-06..I will have my Mathews bow with me also ..I would rather shoot it with the bow if I could..but if comes down to it .. a huge bull out of range for the bow and walking away ..it will be the rifle..

50 tags this year .17 Bulls and 33 cow...It starts Nov. 1 through the 6th...not a long time to hunt..I will be getting a guide..makes my chances a whole lot better....

I hear ya, can't wait to play a little string music this season either. Took a few shots with my bow today, might go shoot some more with one or 2 of my buddies.
