Well don't feel bad, I hit a big one on opening morning, and it ran off with my arrow, didn't find either. Then on the last day of the season, I tried a different shot ( head down, facing me) and I don't know what happened but he jumped about 5 feet in the air, and took off..I retrieved my arrow, and nothing, clean miss... I could hear him laughing at me from the brush!!!
