Coming To An End
Posted On 12/30/2009 09:55:58 by CedarCreek

The 2009 deer season is coming to a close here in Indiana.  Although I have only been able to harvest one doe this year, I still consider this one of the best years I have ever had in the field.

This year brought some new people into my life, and I am thankful for the opportunities that this has given me.  I am thankful to John Jackson for founding this site and allowing us, the hunters, to have a great forum where we can share our adventures with each other, and make some gr...

Well, the night was a good one and we saw plenty of deer, but unfortuna...

Latest Update:  October 8, 2009

Sorry it has been a while since I have updated this blog about my hunting season.  I still have the monkey on my back!  I hate passing up deer, but last night I was at full draw and let 2 bucks go by without releasing an arrow.  But let me start with a recap for the past week:

October 4th:

Saturday night my 23 yr old son was over for dinner and asked me if I would like to go hunting in the morning.  This kind of took me by suprise beca...

That's why it's called hunting.
Posted On 10/07/2009 15:12:54 by CedarCreek

Well all, so far, other than video, I haven't managed to get a deer.  Opening morning I was hunting with a new friend, John Jackson whom I met on this site.  I discussed that in a previous blog.  Opening afternoon I hunted with my wife (Carnage) and although I didn't see anything, my wife had a doe come in at about 50 yards.  It wouldn't come any closer for her and we ran out of shooting light.

Saturday and Sunday was pretty much the same for me.  I know t...
