My Dad
Posted On 02/04/2010 02:02:07 by Moose

My sister and I arrived on time. Pop looks better than I was preparing my self for. He is week and has several small tumors and sites where lymmpnodes had been removed. Seeing the DNR, Do Not Resusitate, paper work on the fridge really says that this is happening. My mom has asked me to give The oldest of my sisters, D'Anna the nurse, a beak and help clean pop after he uses the toilet. I had already prepared myself for that posibility befor getting here. He is comfratable and seems to be at ease. He faught a good fight and that's the best one can do, and he has accepted. I know that I sound prepared and together, but I know that there will come the day sitting  around the fire with friends and it will just all come out. But, I know that God has blessed me with friends that will understand and help me through it.

My mom is doing as well as can be expected. I know she is putting on  good strong front for pop and us kids. But, thats what moms do, She took the time to make sure I knew what was happening with pop and that time is short. They have made all their arraingments and made the poinnt of saying that they knew that I would make sure they happened.. Well, I'm going to get to bed. It's 01:01 out here but my clock say it's 0300.

Thanks for sharing with us Moose.  Although sometimes it is difficult to know the words to say, know this:  We feel for you and your family at this time and are here to listen and lend a shoulder.
