Ihave now been here in Mesa for two days. My parents have been seen by the Hospice case manager, their social worker that is part of the hospice team and the nurses aid. The aid was here today to give pop a shower and shave. I had installed a hand shower to help the aid in giving pop his shower. I had a talk with the hoospice nurse and she told me that pop has a month at the most. She feels that he will most likley sucome to an cardiac event as he is not making any red blood cells and his organs will start to fail and with his heart problems that will be the first system to fail. He is awake and aware of whats going on. He likes his chocolat malts and of course I make alittle extra, :). My mom is doing well and copeing as well as can be expected. I know it's hard as pop had been her care giver for the last 7 years and now she relies on my sister, D'Anna who ins the Cardiac nursing supervisor for Banner Hospital in Mesa. My Aunt sharron has come out to stay as long as she is needed.o She has been doing a great job of getting mom and dad to their appts. We, my sisters and I, have been giving her a break while we are here. I am enjoying just being to hang out with my dad and help him with his hygene needs and we will be working on his taxes tomorow. Thanks once more for all of your prayers and support. Moose Oh, yesterday I sat in the hot tub out at the pool and then laid in the sun. The temp was 68, but in the sun it felt more like 75. Just thought I'd throw that in.
