When is the best time to start shrooming? I am thinking as soon as the temperature hits 60 degrees after a rain.

It depends on your area, but around here they seem to start popping after about 3 days of 60 degree weather.  Good Luck!  Still a little early here.

Friday April 6th

Been picking grey, black and white morel mushrooms for 4 days straight. Probably have around 60lbs in the fridge. Slowly selling them off for $20 a lb. Brown Bonnets, elephant ears, Bolets, and oyster mushrooms also up. Temperates have been running around 65degrees here, low 50's at night. Not a single timber yellow has been picked yet. Im hoping the cooler temps will extend the season since they are around 2 weeks early. Been finding them in bottomground that has been flooded last year around BIRCH... yes, thats correct, birch. Also small sapplings such as willow, elm, and maple. Got plenty for sale if anyones interested.
