Hows the fishing going? Here in good ol Jersey(hmm) the white perch are hitting the brackish waters for their spawning. Catching at least 60-100 fish in a day. Allowed to keep 25, throw most of them back, loaded with eggs.
Having a blast, should last about another week or so,
Doing some crappie fishing also, but the perch are in.
Winter flounder is also in but not much worth it, 2 fish limit, not worth the gas or time

Bass fishing here in georgia is Good,but the stripers up on lake lanier are on fire. The state record has been broken already from what I understand,and the cat fish are coming off the spawn also. Things are just warming up for a great year to catch a record wall hanger.

We went Walleye fishing on Lake Erie last weekend and had a pretty good day despite the weather. We had 12 people on two boats and ended up getting 37 fish. Most were in the 3-4 pound range with a couple a little bit larger.

Waiting for it to warm up some,,, white perch will be on the ticket,, This Sat 3/23 winter flounder opens up, striper season opened up the beginning of the month in the back bays and rivers,
Now along the coast this year will be interesting to see what will come about for there is so much damage from Sandy and so much ocean front is still closed, so much clean up, especially in the bays ,, so many vehicles, houses etc are starting to be pulled out,
everything has been turned upside down,,

Heading out today for some winter flounder,, going with a friend on his boat, will be interesting to see the changes in the bay and inlet area since Sandy hit,,,

Caught 3 shorty stripers, some winter flounder was caught, 4 guys about 8 fish were caught all about legal 12 inches, no pics today,,,

Stayed in the bay area, looked ok,, didn't head out to the ocean,,if we did you would get the birds eye view, Took a ride last weekend to the Seaside Boardwalk area to "Grumpys" bait n tackle, they just opened up recently,, a whole lot of work in progress,,,,, and a whole lot along the whole shoreline that still hasn't even been touched,,,

Well had a sunny day yesterday and figured I go try for some flounder, went to a place that I have been fishing for over 50 yrs,, the Island Heights area along the Toms River, well was approached by a leo and told you cannot fish here, so then I said well I will go over to the other side, told NO, not allowed, not allowed period,, the only way you will be allowed here is in June when you purchase a badge but you have to be a resident in town but you still won't be able to fish,, This has been happening soooo much in this God forsaken state,,, everything being closed to public and privatized... in plain english , this sucks beyond what words I could use,,
So in an hour or so , going out with a friend on his boat so we can get in the Toms River itself, but then again I ask is it worth it , especially the gas these days for you are only allowed 2 fish per person, but its ok that all the netters can strip our waters,, recreational fisherman have been fighting that along our coast here for some time and we are shut down,,
Disgusting to say the least
