I hunt a creek bottom that has several draws that jut out of it and the deer like to bed in there. The problem I'm having is that I have to make quite a  bit of noise to get down to the creek bottom and I don't want to spook the deer. So my question is, do deer bed down more in the afternoon or in the early morning? Because  I don't want to spook the bedded down deer while going to my stand.

Thanks!!!

Deer bed down to chew their cuds after they are finished feeding .. same as cows. When they bed, especially early in the season, depends on when they eat. Early in the season the moon/feed tables can predict when they will be up and around ... sort of. Later in the season, after hunting pressure, rutting activity,  and weather fronts increase, it's much less predictable.

Use the feed tables as a starting point in your area and then you can change as you notice variations in the deer's patterns.

agree with pistol hunter...   also do a bit of scouting as well, if possible....  hang a trail cam, this should get you a pretty good idea as well....
i would also consider a ladder stand or hang on versus the typical climber  with it already being set-up should eliminate considerable noise.

we have the same thing around us, we actually scouted to find a quiet trail to a stand that is placed on the main trail between feeding and bedding. Worked out great. Just hunt wind smart and ull b fine. Good luck
