I started out with a shotgun, but after 2 years pick up a bow. i like bow season more because you see more deer and they are just goin about their everyday business and not so spooky.  However I love opening day of shotgun season tho.

bow hunting more personal ,longer hunt time .Gun hunting to fill freezer to easy but do it if no luck bow hunting

I love to deer hunt period. If they open a spear season in my state I will be widdiling a stick if it means another day of hunting season.

I prefer bow. I think it makes you a better hunter Because of all the little things you need to do to get that deer in range for a shot.

Bow hunting, hands down.  It is like you are in the woods and the animals don't know you are there.  They go about life without  a hint, usually, that you are looking down from above.  The deer move, eat, play, etc.  The opportunities this provides to the hunter is awesome. 

I personally hunt during bow season and put meat in the freezer in gun season.

Bow hunt twice as much as I  gun hunt . Harvested many more animals with the bow. I used crossbow a lot this year .Harvested couple of doe with xbow this year. it was different.  NJ opened season. Wish I had more time to hunt with gun.

Even during gun season I use my longbow. I was at deer camp, all the guys had riffles and I had my longbow. They thought I was crazy. But I don't want to hunt anything with out it.

I don’t compare one with the other.  Each weapon has a purpose, our season here is very generous.  Lots of deer, and other animals.  So I look at where I am going to hunt and access it per location.  During Bow season, I bow hunt, Primitive Weapons season, I pull out the Smoke Pole, rifle season any weapon can be used, bow, muzzle loader, or modern rifle.  Sometime I go back to bow hunting it depends on which location I choose to hunt.  The only season we have that dictates a specific weapon is our archery season.  However that is still very generous, you can use any kind of bow you want to shoot, as long as it meets the minimum regulations.  So hunt enjoy the outdoors, and if you get the chance take a kid along.
