I see there are hybrid oak trees and others now that grow quickly and produce acorns within about 4 years.  Has anyone planted these yet and do they grow as quickly as they say?  I am considering planting some to make my small acerage more desirable to the deer population of the area.

Thanks.

MOSSY OAK NATIV NURSERIES HAS A GREAT LINE OF HYBRIDS AND SAWTOOTH THAT ARE SUPPOSED TO HAVE MAST IN 3 YEARS. gO TO THEIR WEBSITEAND EMAIL OR CALL THE GUYS AND TALK TO THEM. THE PRICES ARE REALLY GOOD FOR 18 INCH HIGH TREES WITH GREAT ROOT SYSTEMS ALREADY STARTED. I HAVE ALSO TALKED TO OUR LOCAL FORESTER AND HE SUGGESTED SAWTOOTH FOR FASTER PRODUCTION. I"D CALL YOUR LOCAL ONE IF THERE IS ONE IN YOUR AREA TO GET INFO ON WAHT TO PLANT.
