I was 15 years old that summer day in 1975 when I went for a bike ride with my cousins and we were racing ..we all had ten speeds at that time and I was flying..ahead of everyone I looked back to see where they were..and they were about a 100 yards behind me ..smiling ..I turn back around to see a 65 Ford fairlane..in front of me ...I tried best I could to get off the road ..everything was silent I heard nothing when I hit the front end of the car ..spinning up and over the car..I felt my shoe fly off and my foot got cold ..sounds crazy but that is what I remember...I flew up onto a big stump and bounced off of it back on to the road and rolled back down in the ditch..my legs felt like someone poured gasoline on them and lit them on fire...the wind knock out of me ...I tried getting up but the pain was to much...Sounds pretty bad right...after what the State Police said in was a 78 mph crash head on...150 feet of skid marks...before the hit 70 feet after..This guy was coming back from the Beaver Springs Drag Races ..still had the times wrote on his windows...I was lucky...NO broken bones a few cuts and swelled legs...SO WHAT IS YOUR STORY

Well every time it warms into to the high 40's and 50'..my dogs come in the house with ticks...man I thought it was bad last season..it has already started ..

To follow up on the black bears...I next yuear I moved my stand about 80 yards farther into the woods...I decided to hunt that evening and went to my stand and found it torn to shreds..I have an API Grandslam Supreme..The pungent odor could only be a bear... So I took the stand out and showed to the land owner and he couldn't believe the teeth marks on the stand and what it had done to all the padding..looked like it went through a shredder.....anyway that year being 2007  ended...So over the winter I ordered new seat and padding for the API...So a week before the next season I had it out in the yard cleaning it and descenting it...So my wife wanted to go get something from the store and decided to take my truck.............you guessed it ..she backed right over my stand...pissed was not the word for it...Had to buy another stand and they are not cheap...So not realizing it when she backed over it ...I did not see that the tail pipe had been pushed up ...and when she got back from the store the tail light was melted ....and pretty bad day....

I have a little story for you guys...In 2007 I was hunting a little patch of woods next to a smal village...I was up a pine tree and it was getting close dark...when I look down and saw a black bear with his paws on the tree looking up at me..scared the crap out of me ..when I caught movement about 30 yards away ..another black bear coming my way...now I was bear food...anyway a car had pulled down this dirt road I was close to and scared the bears off..I pretty much hate bears now...

If you could only go on one more hunt in your lifetime..what would it be?...this is for everyone that cares to post...Me personally it would be in the Sphinx Mountain range in Montana with a recurve for a bruiser elk..

How many shoot recurves...I had the recurve made for me by my friend from Virginia....Joe Gallimore...what a beautiful bow..made with Osage orange , black glass on the limbs and for the tips he used real deer antler...light poundage..48...shooting about 170..really fast for the poundage...

This year for ticks weather and snakes is really bad..Here in Central PA..I have come across at least 6 ..4 to 6 fott black snakes crawling throuh my yard..can't get near the woods...been picken ticks off  even when I am close...makes it tough for scouting...and the rain ..crazy we are havin...
